Weekend Getaway Packing Essentials: Packing Tips
Are you looking for a list of weekend getaway packing essentials? I’ve recently been traveling A LOT. I traveled to visit family in Florida, went on a few bachelorette weekend trips, explored near by cities, you name it! I’m basically an expert on packing for weekend getaways.
1. Weekender Bag
As a travel enthusiast I can say, the weekender bag changed my life and how I travel. There are plenty of weekender bags to choose from. Like, the Amazon dupes or you can pay the price for the iconic Beis Weekender Bag. It is certainly worth the price!
I personally have the mini weekender, in maple which is the perfect size for a personal item. This is a must- have item for travelers who fly spirit or frontier and try to stuff everything in a backpack for a weekend getaway.
The bottom compartment is what changed my life. Finally, I can separate my shoes from my clothing items. I always felt like shoes took up way too much space and were a hazard for my clothing.
2. A Good Book
Almost always you have downtime during a weekend get away and whats better than spending that time reading a book that you can’t put down? Currently I’m reading, a Happy Place by Emily Henry.
If you are looking for a great Fantasy series that you won’t be able to stop? Try out Sarah J. Maas Throne of Glass series. So. Good.
3. Versatile Clothing Items
It’s so important to plan of what you will wear for your weekend getaway. Every item will take up space so be sure to only pack versatile clothing. For example- all of my top choices and be worn with my light-wash jeans. My cardigan can be worn several times:over a layering shirt and my dress. My layering shirts can be worn under my sweaters for an added layer of warmth. Where you’re going makes a difference but this is a good standard rule to follow.
Here’s everything that I packed: one cardigan, two layering shirts, a dress, two sweaters, Light wash jeans, sneakers and loafers
4. My Bible
No need to explain 😉
Theses are my weekend getaway travel essentials for your next trip besides your toiletries/cosmetic bag of course. Where are you going?
